On August 1, 2011 Anton (former business partner in Demask ) and his wife Louva ( famous French fetish model) took over the ownership of Demask from Steve English and made a large number of changes in design and production.
Anton originally did freelance wholesaling for Demask before joining the company in 2000 as Steves second-in-command. Over the next decade he played a key role in moving production to Czech Republic and opening stores in New York and three German cities.
Louva was originally a make-up artist living and working in Paris. A chance encounter with Steve Engish led her into the world of latex and soon she became well known as fetish model regularly photographed and filmed in extreme rubber creations.
The new enthusiatic owners became regulars at art openings and book launches of artists influenced by their clothes such as Peter Czernich and Gernot. A new chapter for Demask had begun.
Louva brought a new creative input to the company starting a new classy and colourful latex couture line “a la Parisienne”. In November 2011, they organize an impressive show at Wasteland, one of the longest running and largest fetish events in The Netherlands. They also organize several other spectacular shows at home and abroad; including The SubRosaDictum in Germany in 2012, 2013 and recently in 2014.
2012 saw a collaboration with Vault Events to resurrect the infamous rubber event Europerve, originally started in 1991. The party was a huge success and has grown in popularity ever since. This years party takes place on September 9th at the Q-Factory, Amsterdam. Tickets are available here: Europerve Tickets
An interesting little known fact is that Louva and Anton always make an appearance in the Demask performances, and sometimes even the mysterious Rubber Gigi appears.... They are undisputed latex lovers and they treasure the material as well as the scene and the people who are part of it. With much pleasure they always test their products themselves before they finally take them into production.
